At the Institute of Educational Science, scientifically and socially highly relevant questions from early childhood, school, and vocational or employment-related areas are addressed through interdisciplinary and internationally connected projects.

The Institute of Educational Science is centrally located in Heidelberg's Old Town and boasts a long tradition and a rich history dating back to its founding in 1807 as the 'Philological-Pedagogical Seminary.' The entrance, the library, and the student café 'Da lang' invite you to linger. On sunny days, the picturesque courtyard is a popular meeting spot.
